Ladies have been playing very hard for our size . we are very small at the guard positions and we are very slim for our bigs position . But the ladies are finding ways to finish out games . Verses Girath, the ladies had no M. Faraj (hand Surgery) . But they handled the situation and made the adjustments, Evlen Ahmed came in and helped with 9pts and 3 steals. Fridauss Cisse lead the way with 19pts 10 rebounds and 8 blocks . Alex Besproswanny added 13 pts and 9 rebounds and had 5 blocks . at this point the ladies are still in 5th place in tabelle before xmas break .
Kultsport came to the Heck for was would be a decisive game which would change up the standing . A derby that was well played and coached on both sides . Kult was very quick at the guards like us but BTV was taller for the most part . the first quarter was decided by 2 point 18-20 with the ladies making a late run . the second Q BTV then went ahead by 6 pts before kult closed it to 4 34-30 . 3rd Q the ladies added to the lead and was up by 13 . 48-35 . But the game was far from over . 4th Q Kult made a Big run for most of the Q . the ladies fell apart at the wrong time when kult was in desperation mode . they had momentum . M. Faraj made baskets at the right time to keep up ahead 56-52 . the it was 56-54 with 1 min remaining . The Free throw game Begins , BTV as a team shoots just 39% from the line but they were 52% on this night . Fridauss closed the game out by making 2 Freethows to close the game out . its was a great game for our ladies confidence going further . M. Faraj 22pts, 5steals and Fridauss had 24pts ,11 rebounds and again 8 blocks .
Art Dusseldorf another important game that would seal 3rd place up. having to play on a Friday in the Heck . BTV started out unfocused and Dusseldorf came out ready . turnovers in the first and Dusseldorf number 15 F. Li , who if I may say , has the full Bigman package . post moves , middy jumper , and was strong and physical . the first quarter a complete disaster with 9pts no Fridauss until halftime , and no answer for Li. The only thing that was on our side was that Dusseldorf only had 14pts . it could had been worst . 2nd Q was no different BTV couldn’t make anything . we had some open shots but just would not fall . Dusseldorf was up at half 12-21 . BTV had to make some adjustment and had to think a little bit . Li. had 3 fouls at half time . we had to keep on attacking the basket . 3Q with Fridauss finally arriving the game started to turn for the better. with scoring on both side with the Q 15-22 . the Ladies are behind 27-43, but now Li had fouled out the game which leads to a 4th Q in which Barmen comes back from 16pts down . Full court press caused Dusseldorf to lose the ball . Dusseldorf missed shots . BTV won the Q 19-2 totally stopping Dusseldorf . Alex B, tied the game in the last minute . with 0.5 sec Fridauss was fouled , and made 1 of 2 and the ladies won 46-45.
